Norm,
I'm trying to make cups work. In another thread to me, you wrote that I would
want to use build 105 due to "6697318 printing to USB printer hangs under CUPS"

So I need to decide whether to change to 105 or use the workaround below. Are
these both the same problem, such that the workaround will fix me? I am a
Solaris newbie, and want to do the simplest, safest thing to get a file/print
server. So far I am doing zfs with nfs and samba, now all I need is cups!
Should I do the workaround or install 105?

Questions about going with "105"

What does it mean to upgrade to "105"? Is this another whole installation like
2008.11 or an upgraded part? What do I do from 2008.11 to get there? Am I
buying a less tested / less known setup?

Questions about the workaround:

I typed "cupsctl FileDevice=Yes", and "cupsctl" seems to echo it back. There
does not seem to be any man pages for cups or cupsctl, so I am flying in the
dark here.

When I browse to "localhost:631" I don't see how to add a queue with
"file:///dev/printers/..." as a device URL, and I don't know what to replace
the "..." with!

I seems like I am close, please help me get there, and tell me what I am doing!

Thanks.
