* Mini-book overview - Teresa Giacamini - deferred until next meeting.
* BTSK update - Wenling * Charlie Boyle (Mkt) considering newer version of VB

this possible change. * RE goal to build next Friday.
* Current community activities
- Leaders list - clean-up
+ There are a number of folks listed as leaders, who have edit rights on the
community pages
(http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/documentation/leaders/). Alan proposes
to do some clean up of this list. (If you are currently a leader and you do
edit the doc community pages, be sure to let Alan know. Will certainly add back
anyone who is mistakenly removed.
- Contributor grants update - after getting through the email/forum disconnect
last week, had great discussion and turn out to validate new and re-newed
community participants. Thanks to all involved. Alan says as soon as he has all
"acceptances" (still waiting on a couple), he'll forward the list to OGB.
(Update. This is now complete.)
- How To template update
+ Alan noted that he and Paul had given the wiki how-to template a test drive
with their own procedures, and new community contributor, James Cornell, has
also written a procedure (How to Get MP3 Files to Play with OpenSolaris). Take
a look here:
http://wikis.sun.com/display/OpenSolarisInfo/OpenSolaris+Administrator%27s+How+Tos.
Also, Cindy added the necessary labels (admin and task) to a couple of ZFS
procedures in the OpenSolaris system admin doc and these now also show up on
the wiki How-Tos page.
* OpenSolaris doc bug tracking / procedures
- Alan noted he's had a blind spot with regard to monitoring/tracking doc bugs
in OpenSolaris Bugzilla. After having this brought to his attention, he's
started farming out doc issues to various writers.
- Kathleen asked how this relates to Bugster.
- Kelly noted that Bugzilla is for OpenSolaris specific code (e.g, Distribution
Constructor) and that [non-Sun] community can use it. She also said Nevada
specific bugs should go into Bugster.
- Alan will be working with doc managers to make sure that doc bugs are
systematically getting addressed as they come in.
- Cindy asked Dolores about a specific doc bug about translation should be
handled. Dolores to forward the translations request form.
- Alan asked Kelly for clarification on use of the watch list in Bugzilla and
bug assignments. He's confused by bugs assigned to the watch list alias. Will
send her an example of a bug that is assigned to the watch list alias, but not
to a person.
* Decision/strategic team update - Diane
- Diane trying to take more top-down strategic view of how/when/where docs are
authored/published.
- As OpenSolaris is maturing, we need more mature framework for docs and
provide clearer guidance.
- Dolores asked about docs on wiki vs. docs on docs.sun.com vs. docs in other
locations. Diane said the team does not have guidelines defined yet, but these
are types of questions team is working on.
- Diane said goal is more predictability for writers and related stakeholders.
