Agenda

    * AI Review - Doc bugs update
o Alan, Jim, and Diane started triage session on existing doc
bugs. About 80% through them.
o Alan has provided setup information to Diane and Jim and
they are going to pass down to writers.

    * Metrics: see January Metrics Spreadsheet
(http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pzCosgzxVSeXF2GqxVJmQWw)
o The metrics are derived from Omniture program, which is used
across Sun.
o Tracking the .org docs portal, new wiki, discussion forum,
and downloads.
          o Notes about January traffic:
+ Alan suggested the big drop in traffic (this month
compared to last month) to .org docs community site follows big bounce
we saw in December traffic, immediately following 2008.11 release.
+ Paul noted OpenSolaris link that he requested on
http://docs.sun.com/ might be cause of traffic to opensolaris.org docs
site. (Thanks, Paul!)
+ Do not currently have metrics on actual downloads of
the man and docs tarball (those pages are not coded for that yet. Will
do that soon), but looks like PDF tarball (Rainer produces) is regularly
downloaded. Anecdotally, downloaded for use more than distribution or
editing. Paul asked if PDF tarball is equivalent to the SXCE set on
docs.sun.com. Alan said he thinks largely comparable. The PDFs are
derived form the XML sources in the source docs consolidation tarball.
+ Most traffic to .org docs community site driven from
various sun docs sites.
+ Some new members on docs-discuss. smile This is key
metric Alan would like to monitor.
+ OpenSolaris info resources wiki - hard to distinguish
amount of traffic coming internally from Sun, but the number of page
views (> 13K) traffic is promising.
+ First (non-Sun) community original contribution in How
Tos section. (Thanks James Cornell. smile )
+ Kelly asked Alan to share this info at the OpenSolaris
cabinet. Tentatively scheduled that presentation for 2/25.

    * Community Governance Updates
          o Elections
(http://opensolaris.org/os/community/ogb/elections/2009/)
          o Schedule of events posted.
o Core contributors are eligible to vote.

          o Draft Constitution
(http://wiki.genunix.org/wiki/index.php/OGB_2008/010_OpenSolaris_Constitution_2009)
o Major change is in member status. Contributor / Core
contributor go away. Replaced by "electorate." Member of "electorate"
has voting rights in OpenSolaris governance.
o You're invited to comment on the draft constitution.
