System Requirements/network access : As we discovered yesterday, this
part is just a hassle. I believe Clay mentioned a gui that made this easier.
A question more for the engineers, is there a simpler
way to accomplish this without having to look at files and services etc?
If not,
should we be creating a script/tool that makes this
easy for the user?
Regardless, I might not know what to do with these
steps. Need example command lines etc.
Using the Automated Installer: Makes it sounds like you have to edit the
manifest files. I believe you don't have to.
Example scenarios:
You mention that they need to set up a DHCP server on the install
server. How?
You need to pull an image before you run installadm
create-service. How? Where from?
The example of create-service didn't use the -n <svcname> in it.
Since the default service names are rather obtuse it would be nice
to have this example actually use that flag.
Is there any way to make things like ip_start_addr look more
"different" than the rest of the text? In our sample run it wasn't obvious
this was a variable we needed to change. Maybe even more italicized?
Creating a custom client:
The client boots. Normally? boot net? Something else?
-t imagepath : What imagepath is was not obvious to us. I think
words to the effect that it's the target dir from the create-service
would be nice.
