Ben, Thank you for your suggestions! I have reorganized the document into a few main chapters, similar to what you suggest. There is no What's New document for 2008.11, so I'm leaving alot of the overview stuff, but moving it into an "intro to OpenSolaris 2008.11" chapter, separate from the installing chapter.
For 2008.11, marketing is doing a what's new article that will display on the Live CD. Perhaps the docs folks can do a What's New for the next release. It's true the VB section is abit much, but I'm leaving it as is for now. We have another writer working on that section. We do need to rethink how we're presenting all the various install options, some of them are too much and some are too little. I'll try to get a grip on that issue for April.
