Hi all,

After 2.5 years (time does fly!) I've made the choice to change my role 
on OpenSolaris. I'm moving from the fry-pan into the fire by joining up 
with Bonnie's team on website and tools. You'll find me over there 
driving a roadmap for the next phase of the opensolaris.org website.

I'm confident that the docs community will continue to grow, prosper, 
and demonstrate healthy community collaboration in the manner we have 
done throughout these early years! You all are truly *the best*, words 
really don't capture my gratitude and appreciation of your hard work and 
professionalism in building a strong foundation for this pubs project.

I'm counting on you to shepherd the seven live doc projects we've got 
rolling, to maintain the docs community web pages, and just keep writing 
about OSOL! Meanwhile, I'll do everything I can to make forward progress 
on features/usability/navigation and best practices we need to develop 
for the greater OSOL website. My official replacement is TBD, but please 
welcome that person when they introduce themselves. (I'm currently 
holding the latest docs consolidation update until I can train a new 
person, but I hope to push new files by end of April. Stuart and Doug 
will continue with the man page consolidation updates and announcements.)

We also need a new Facilitator, so anyone who is interested send along a 
reply. The Facilitator role is the Docs community interface to the OGB 
(governing board), so it is that individual's task to watch 
contributions throughout the year, collect requests for, and suggest 
contributor status grants to the OGB Secretary on behalf of 
documentation community members. As it happens, the newly appointed OGB 
2008 Secretary is yours truly (another aspect of change in my open 
source life), so I'll work closely with the new docs Facilitator to 
transition what I was doing.
