Title: Open HA Cluster Starter Kit Purpose: Produce a media kit on one or two DVDs that tell people who are new to Open High Availability Cluster (including students, prospective developers, and other potential proponents) what they need to know to: 1. Install Solaris Express and Solaris Cluster Express. 2. Set up a build environment for data services, GEO edition, and core. The two DVDs will include: 1. Solaris Express (latest build available) 2. Solaris Cluster Express (latest build available) * Source tarballs (data services, geo, core) * Common Test Infrastructure (CTI)/Sun Cluster Automated Test Environment (SCATE)/Data Service Automated Test Suite (DATS) * Documentation that describes how to: * Install Solaris Cluster Express * Build the sources * Run the test suites * Contribute content * plus (if available before release time) the GDS template * plus (if available before release time) GDS template training PDF * plus (if available before release time) VMware images for testing This DVD will be produced for the x86 platform only. Later, we can include a DVD for the SPARC platform. We'll also include a short, printed booklet in English that explains how: 1. The parts (Solaris Express, Solaris Cluster Express, Studio/gcc, source for agents, geo, core, and Sun Cluster Automated Test Environment (SCATE)) fit together. 2. To contribute to OHAC, which explains projects, bugs.opensolaris.org, cr.opensolaris.org, the role of a sponsor, etc. The content that is included on these DVDs will change over time as newer versions of these DVDs are released.
