My current drama with semi-supported PCI expansion cards for x86 Solaris
makes me think that a cheatsheet for hardware/driver installs would be
handy.  (The device in question is a Syba SATA card with Silicon Image 3114
chipset).

Maybe we should start by compiling a list of cheatsheet-worthy topics?
