Hold on a minute! :) I'm NOT recommending the use of sys-unconfig simply to change the hostname. The command does far more than that, and is probably overkill and dangerous to use in some situations.
I was joking, actually, when I recommended sys-unconfig... sys-unconfig allows you to reconfigure: Network Interfaces Naming Services IP Hostname Kerberos Localization Date/Time Primary Domain Search Domains Routing and maybe a few others. I'm willing to work up a HOWTO doc on it's use, but I think the existing Hostname HOWTO is far better (I've used those methods many times) and faster than sys-unconfig. blake -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
