I have a question about the documentation titled Configuring the Sun Java
System Directory Server on a Trusted Extensions System located at
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-7314/6n994bt77?a=view

Step 9 states that you use the ldapaddent command to populate every file in the
staging area. Now every other document on ldapaddent I have read states that
you have to run this command from a client, not on the server. If that is the
case then why doesn't it have the steps on add a client to the server before
step 9(I know how to do it)?
Also as I am not to keen on configuring the server from a client, it just
doesn't seem right, does the /usr/sadm/bin/smattrpop command work with
Sol 10 TX? Has it been updated to use the tnrhxx files? Basically I want to be
able to install TX, add my label encodings file, set up my zones, then install
and configure Directory Server 5.2 (DSEE6.0 is not going through common
criteria so I can't use it) from the server before I add any clients. Is it
possible? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
