Hi Paul, Great news! I would agree that sticking with nroff, because the developers already author in that format, is the way to go initially. I've certainly heard (on this list and the main osol list) from folks that would like to see DocBook/SolBook XML for man pages, so we have that as a longer-term collaboration/conversion goal. For SunOS man pages, we deliver nroff source currently also. I recommend having conversations on your technical community list about how your developers want to collaborate going forward, to be sure you understand their goals as the community grows. Has your team any neato nroff conversion tools in use that might be opened up for the Docs community playground? :)
