I'm thinking this isn't something really addressed in the official Sun style guide, as I've seen it in many Sun docs, but I've just noticed this again in this Style Guide, and it's a bit of an irritant at times.
On pages 190-191, there's a very short table that is split across two pages. I would argue (not vehemently) that a table this short should be forced onto one page. What do others think? Of course, if this is decided to be a good idea, then we start the hair-splitting of "how small a table must it be before enforcing this?" I'm throwing this out to see how other people think. As a SysAdmin, it annoys me, making me consider it an inefficient page break much like my comment on the split examples previously. People from other backgrounds (or even other admins) may not think this way. I have my fire-retardant suit on, so feel free to flame away. :-) Rainer This message posted from opensolaris.org
