Where can I find the official document on creating on-line manual pages both in the old nroff format and the new SGML? I am looking for definitions and specifications. Especially what are characters that need to be escaped for the various pagers that access the older nroff formats. And are there any special characters for SGML or does the DTD in conjunction with the preprocessor manage translating special characters?
Sun has to have a how-to, I can't imagine that they rely on schools to tech engineers what they basically developed with the other Unix vendors. Or is this proprietary information, and I got to figure it out myself?
