Hi Keith,

Great idea.

Neither is required. But, I would suggest adding a Contributors
section to the document to acknowledge the new authors.

Sounds like a fun project, but again not required for collaboration.
What is the current source format?

Here's the header:
The contents of this Documentation are subject to the Public
Documentation License Version 1.01 (the "License"); you may only use
this Documentation if you comply with the terms of this License. A
copy of the License is available at
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/documentation/license.

I would add the above to the main title/TOC page of the document
(devref_toc), with a pointer to wherever the source is posted (see
options below).

This is a great question, I've listed a few options below, and I think
it is up to you and potential contributors to decide what is easiest:

1-We could just post a tarball of HTML files on the Doc Downloads page
of the Docs Community here:
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/documentation/tmp/ and folks can
make changes and post them to our discuss list.
You could then pick up the new/updated files and publish them to the
formal onnv community location when ready.

2-We could propose a Project for collaborative development of this
document and set up source control repository if you think you'll need
it.

3-We can include the files in the Docs tarball on the download center
at http://dlc.sun.com/osol/downloads/current. I plan to update it
monthly. We could then host reviews on the docs community pages.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Michelle
