Sue Weber Program Manager, Open Solaris Docs Subject: [docs-discuss] cstyle and Coding Standards From: Ming Kin Lai <hzmonte at hotmail.com> Date: Sat, 24 Sep 2005 16:05:16 -0700 (PDT) To: docs-discuss at opensolaris.org In OpenSolaris Developer's Reference Guide http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/onnv/devref_toc/ , the cstyle(1) link, in Chap 7 for example, is broken and leads to the top of the glossary. And Sec 7.2.4 says "Running the cstyle(1) and/or hdrchk(1) tools is part of this process, but you should also be familiar with the entire style guide so that you will be able to use correct style even in elements that the tools do not check." I do not know whether "the entire style guide" refers to "C Style and Coding Standards for SunOS" (1996) written by Bill Shannon as in http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/documentation/getting_started_docs/cstyle.ms.pdf. It would be nice to clarify and provide a link there.
