it seems to me, that cocoon documentation at
http://wiki.apache.org/cocoon/ resp.
http://wiki.apache.org/cocoon/ErrorHandling
is a bit outdated - and does not match behaviour of current
versions in all cases.
In addition, the pages there ar marked as "Immutable" and
do not allow to register (as precondition to editing) a new
user.
Because the email of a committer on that pages came back to
me, I'm trying to post my correction to this list now
- hoping, someone can change the wiki page named above.

thanks for your documentation provided by

But with current versions of Cocoon the solution given
there does not work any more... I got a message, saying
I HAVE TO use a generator.
And really, looking a while around the web, the following
addition to your solution *does* work fine:

<map:generator pool-max="64" name="notifier"
src="org.apache.cocoon.sitemap.NotifyingGenerator" />
...
<map:handle-errors>
...
<map:generate type="notifier" />
<!-- Now the following line works without error: -->
<map:transform src="stylesheets/system/error2html.xsl"/>

Please, could you update the cocoon documentation page
given above? - I can NOT do that, because the page is
marked as "Immutable" / I do not have neccessary permissions.
