I actually worked at the last file when you posted this ;-) So I simply checked the changes against your older patch and went further. I took your xml files and revised them a bit. The revision was mostly some rearranging of the structure. I think, flat sections don't look very good and blow up the content list too much (as you said before, too). So I reverted the flattening and reintroduced the nesting. I hope, this is okay for you!
