Thanks for your reply, I think it's necessary to clarify the differences between the Simplified and the Traditional Chinese. At least, they are NOT different Chinese dialects as you know, the differences is so significant that could make the two be different languages as Japan to Korean.
The differences I can point out are following: 1. They use two charsets much like English and Russian, Simplified Chinese uses GB2312 or the newer GB18030-2000, and Traditional Chinese uses Big5, and the characters of the two charset have diffrent figure. In older versions, browser with only the one charset installed may not present the pages in the other charset correctly to be read. 2. Simplified Chinese is commonly used in China mainland, while Traditional Chinese is commonly used in Taiwan island, a province of China. Important to note that, many technical terms are different not only in computer related area, although people in China and Taiwan island can communicate in pronoucing Chinese. Sometimes, the differences of terms may cause mis-understanding. I do have digged the Traditional Chinse translation project before you mentioned in your mail, and found that, it is old and partly translated, and seems not be going on any longer. But do not worry, if necessary, I can shorten the linebreaks in one step by using dos2unix. - the <!-- English Revision --> notes the CVS revision number of the particular english original document, so it can't be 2.0 All "<!-- English revision: 2.0 -->" are already removed. I added this line refering to the Japanese translation, althought I don't know what it is indeed, that is in Chinese, drawing a tiger refering to a cat, :) - The documents need review, I'm not sure, how we solve that; any ideas someone Yes, the documents do need review, and we have managed more than 90 peoples for review and bug report while translating.
