Maybe it's my non-native English, but I think, depreciated fits perfectly
here...

It should be deprecated.  It is probably one of the top 10 spelling
mistakes by programmers, since it won't be found by a spell checker
and depreciated is a more commonly used word.

An argument can be made that something "has depreciated",
but it is never the case that something "has been depreciated".
