Bug ID: 70031
Summary: Apache mod_rewrite: “This document supplements the
reference documentation” confusing
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.5-HEAD
Hardware: All
URL: https://httpd.apache.org/docs/trunk/en/rewrite/
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: trivial
Priority: P4
Component: Documentation
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
The last paragraph of https://httpd.apache.org/docs/trunk/en/rewrite/ contains:
> This document supplements the reference documentation, and attempts to allay
> some of that complexity, and provide highly annotated examples of common
> scenarios that you may handle with mod_rewrite.
The sentence visibly means more than that document, which is just a short
introduction page.
I suggest to either replace “This document” with “This guide” or to merge that
page with the Apache mod_rewrite Introduction page. I believe the latter is
best. It is currently odd that “Apache mod_rewrite Introduction” is longer than
“Apache mod_rewrite”.
