Well, it's been a while (and i'm a little bored right now :) ), but if someone stumbles upon this:
as the :: indicates, the FETCH_* constants are class constats of the PDO class. as long as you have PDO activated (and i guess so, wenn you work with doctrine and maybe driver pdo_*) you will have access to these constants.
