That's true. Maybe we could add a hint for my proposal, something like 
`AbstractQuery::FILTER_SUBSET` and deprecate the current behaviour. And 
someday it could be made to default behaviour.

I'll see if I could create a patch and add a Pull Request on GitHub. Thanks
