Not to do with directory separator, I tried this hack before the
simplexml_load_file function call:
$file = str_replace("/",DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR,$file);
And get the same error.
ContextErrorException in XmlDriver.php line 817:
Warning: simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity
"C:\Project\vendor\friendsofsymfony\user-bundle\Resources\config\doctrine-mapping\User.orm.xml"
