To access the "next namespace level" you would now need ORM\ORM\Entity
to access the Entity class of the Doctrine\ORM\Mapping\ORM namespace
because ORM is now an alias of namespace Doctrine\ORM\Mapping.

NO !!
The Entity anotation class is directly located in Doctrine\ORM\Mapping
there it's full path is Doctrine\ORM\Mapping\Entity so when using namespace
aliasing you would use :

use Doctrine\ORM\Mapping as ORM;

and

@ORM\Entity

If you still think you would need @ORM\ORM\Entity then I'm sorry but you're
mistaken and should read the doctrine docs (and how php namespace aliasing
works) again.
