Hi Muhammed, First of all you don't enable root login with the command you mention, and I doubt that running that command caused the error message.
Second: Enabling root login is normally a bad idea. There are other ways to perform administrative tasks. I recommend that you study https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RootSudo If that doesn't help, you may want to ask for help at http://askubuntu.com/ In any case this is not an ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) bug. ** Changed in: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Documentation Packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-docs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1307625 Title: graphics card error on login Status in “ubuntu-docs” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: After I tried to enable the Root in Ubuntu 13.10 on VMware by this command sudo sh -c 'echo "greeter-show-manual-login=true" >> /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf' I saw the system cannot logon because th graphic card error, the sreen shoot below, and after trying to login many times the system can not back, please help To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-docs/+bug/1307625/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~documentation-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~documentation-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
