304.123 nvidia crashes on startup. and 173 doesn't work at all. open
source driver is also junk.

Bug description:
I am a compleat noob on ubuntu. I have used xubuntu and the graphics
work ok some minor glitches and crashes, but i installed ubuntu
14.04.01 the graphics card will not even work at all for opensource.
173 nivida is worse I had to reinstall because it would not let me do
anything. the only way i could make things work is if i was on
failsafe graphics

i tryed to download some but my system is pretty unstable. It could crash and
it has. than i have to reinstall and its getting pretty anoying. the computer I
am using is the hp slimline s5600 Desktop PC series. this is the current
driver package im using NVidia binary X.Org driver ('current' driver) oh and
also i have a hybrid card with cuda. man I wish you guys could comeover to my
place to fix this problem.
when I installed the program I expected for it to run like it did on windows.
but when I move the mouse during a video it gets all laggy. and also minecraft
runs like poop lol
