Some notes on terminology: At some point "Wireless" must have been changed to "Wi-Fi" in the GUI but the desktop help wasn't changed. I briefly checked terminology outside Ubuntu. For example, Wikipedia uses "Wi-Fi" not "WiFi" or "wifi" or "wi-fi". I haven't done a global replace in the help of "wireless" to "Wi-Fi" since terms such as "wireless card" or "wireless network" seem to be widely used outside Ubuntu. I think any occurrences of "wi-fi" etc in the help should be changed to "Wi-Fi". Let's be consistent.

For example (in 16.04) the tabs are General, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Security, IPv4 Settings, and IPv6 Settings. The page doesn't use the current name for the first three tabs but does use the current name for the last two tabs. If a control is documented the current name of the control should (of course) be used. https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/net-wireless-edit- connection.html To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-docs/+bug/1637126/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~documentation-packages Post to : documentation-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~documentation-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
