> Regarding gnome-ubuntu-docs, questing has 48.2-1ubuntu1, and what was uploaded to questing-unapproved doesn't seem to be based on that:
My bad. It was actually based on 48.2-1ubuntu1 but I had inadvertently duplicated some older changelog entries when merging. Re-uploaded with the changelog fixed and the new .changes file is now correct. > It should also have a branch for resolute now, and preferably an update for resolute as well. In fact, if done correctly, we could keep 25.10.1 for questing, and upload 26.04.1 to resolute. 25.10.1 is already in the resolute archive. I've now pushed that to the master branch, and created a questing branch with 25.10.0.1 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Documentation Packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-docs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2129202 Title: Update ubuntu-docs to 25.10 Status in gnome-user-docs package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in ubuntu-docs package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in gnome-user-docs source package in Questing: Incomplete Status in ubuntu-docs source package in Questing: Incomplete Bug description: [ Impact ] The Ubuntu Desktop documentation browsable in the Help application, was never updated for questing and GNOME 49. The `ubuntu-docs` package is still on version 25.04 in Ubuntu 25.10, and the related `gnome-user-docs` package is still on 48.2 while the rest of GNOME is on 49. We also use these packages to update the content of the help.ubuntu.com documentation website. There haven't been too many changes to this documentation set but it would be nice to keep up with upstream, until we remove this documentation sometime after Ubuntu 26.04. The impact is just on documentation files. The `gnome-user-docs` package comes with language packages that simply take translations from GNOME upstream. The `ubuntu-docs` package bundles its own translations but there haven't been any changes since 25.04 to translate. [ Test Plan for ubuntu-docs ] 1. Open Help 2. Browse to "Install & remove software" > "Add software repositories" 3. Verify that the page says "questing" instead of "plucky" in: "deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ questing main" [ Test Plan for gnome-user-docs ] 1. Open Help 2. Browse to "User & system settings" > "Display & screen" > "Change the appearance of your desktop" 3. Verify that the page says "Default" instead of "Light" in "Click to choose Default or Dark." [ Where problems could occur ] The packages only provide formatted documentation text. Problems would manifest with the Help application being unable to browse the docs.
