I wouldn't remove anything from the descriptions. There are many people, who will start elder versions of LO - and wonder, that they will have more functions inside LO as there are described in the books. In the German "Handbuch" we have marked such things with "works since ..." or "works up to ...". Example: Charts in the report - don't work since LO 3.5. We will describe how to edit a chart in a report and mark it as "buggy since ...". Could be, that there is somebody, who will fix it. Also the native connector of MySQL, which doesn't work any more in LO 4.0 RC1 or the LDAP-problem you described above.
