Hi :) It should all be working fine now! :) Although the infrastructure crew had added new servers just before Launch Day it still wasn't enough to cope with the vast amount of unexpected interest in LibreOffice on the day. Apple have a similar problem when they release a new iPad or IPhone or whatever and stores have trouble getting enough stock in to cope with the rush of those first few hours. The TDF infrastructure team were able to bring even more servers on-line within a couple of hours and that seemed to solve the 'problem' of such high demand.
Btw i have tidied the wiki-page's Getting Started section by moving all the remaining chapter's number-of-pages into the 4.0.x columns. It's going to look a little odd until those chapters get uploaded to the Publications page and the number may need to be changed a little. Some of the other chapters seemed to gain or lose a page or so this time. I still haven't done the Writer's section for the 4.0.x and i know it needs doing asap so hopefully i should remember to do that tomorrow. I've got to sneak into work anyway to finish off a few outstanding issues there too but a lot of that is waiting around while Windows does it's scans and updates and stuff (big yawn). So, apols and regards from Tom :) -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Docs-Pubs-wiki-page-an-update-on-progress-tp4035249p4035987.html Sent from the Documentation mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/documentation/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
