Hi :)
I think this is a great idea.  It fills a gap.

The Docs Team is one of the best, probably THE best, at having people acting as
informal "Liaison Officer"s between various other mailing lists and the team
here.  However there are quite a few times where it would be nice to have a
more official way of getting information out there or for finding out what is
going on elsewhere.

The current informal liaisons are with

Marketing,          via Jean and me although they wont listen to me at all but
at least i can feedback from them to here.  Jean is effective there.

Accessibility,     via me only, it's a very low-traffic list and mostly just
user-support
Translators,       via at least 2 other people and me.  Both the other 2 are
more effective but i'm embarrassed to admit i've forgotten the names of both my
friends there
Users,                 via me and usually a bunch of other people but typically
those others get swept up in other things and quickly find other people have
taken over that role anyway

AskLO (bot)       via another chap whose name i've forgotten despite
considering him a friend.

Devs                   via a couple of people.  I think Marc Pare is here?
Again i can't remember names :(

errr, i thought there were more, such as QA via Joel but then i suddenly
thought that maybe i don't see them on this list after-all.  I am usually
fairly rubbish at names.  It's the good attitude in the emails that i remember
more clearly but everyone in this team is good in that way.  Perhaps we should
have some fake-fights to make it more exciting?

Regards from

Tom :)
