I know I have mentioned this before, but someone has to seriously look at the automatic numbering and cross referencing system used in LibreOffice.
I am now back at my desk after a few problems to sort out after a lovely holiday, that did include computers. I am using the latest version of LO to continue with the Impress Guide, but automatic numbering and cross referencing is giving me problems. Each time I insert a new frame for a figure or move a frame to a new position, the automatic numbering goes out of sequence. For example, the figure number goes from Figure 16 to Figure 3. The fix is to run the update tool and save. However, add or move another frame and exactly the same thing happens. Each time I move a paragraph that includes a cross reference to a frame to a new position or delete a paragraph before or after the paragraph containing a cross reference, then the cross reference indicates a figure number after the original frame, for example instead of Figure 16 I get Figure 17. Again the fix is to run the update tool and save, but again each time there is an paragraph edit change, the same thing happens. This problem reflects badly on LibreOffice, so any advice on how to solve the problem would be appreciated.
