I have added a new entry to the Guide Status spreadsheet to reflect that
I've started working on Chapter 18 (Description of Functions).
The list of new and improved features in LO 6.x appears to have many
impacts on the functions provided and so there may be many changes
needed to this chapter. In the interests of progress, it's probably best
to get these updates done.
If it turns out that these changes have already been implemented by DJ
(who checked the file out some time ago), my time won't be wasted
because the knowledge gained will put me in a good position to act as a
reviewer of that file.

I suggest that if there will be a major delay in producing Chapters 15
and/or 16, which are both new, that we release the book without them
and add them to the next iteration of the book.
