The old local installed 'built-in' Help, opens separate dialogs. Usually, ESC closes a dialog, triggering Cancel. For the built-in Help, that is not relevant. So ESC does not close the dialog. Neither does it go up one level (assuming that is meant back to a previous visited page, or up to chapter level from paragraph). > Is the first part of this text a throwback to an old method of providing > help? Unless someone else comes up with a description that makes sense and adds something to the user experience (I can't remember using ESC in the browser), I would suggest to leave that part out.
