Yes I get "Default" in the title field with 7.0.4.2 (x64) and all 6.x versions, but that is down to my profile, otherwise I get the same as you. The real issue is that 7.1.0.2 anything entered in the title field of a new or existing document is lost (more accurately disappears) on save.
