Believe it or not, I got them in in October of 2002, approximately
35,000 miles ago. Back then, they were about $45 each.   I got them
through my mechanic who works for a chain called Merlins. I went to
them after giving up on my dealer insisting on semi-metallics (which
squealed) and warped my rotors and one shot with Midas, probably the
worse choice I ever made for brake work. (cheapo parts)

I believe they are Raybestos ceramic pads. Merlins sources their brake
parts from them.
