funny you should bring this up. i just got my 94 trep back from the shop. just did its third water pump. 202K miles on the car. last one was done in 2002.
decided that it is a design flaw, because the water pump on the 3.5 24 valve engine is driven by the timing belt. which has to have alot of tension on it. which in turn causes the water pump to fail over time. but i do know from the 2002 change out, that if you let it go too long, the anti freeze will ruin the timing belt and tensioner :-( making it even more expensive to repair. the good news for me was my 3.5 is a non interference engine. i believe the 2.7 and 3.2 are though. fix asap. john [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
