i have ask this before but the answer didn't seem to make sense so i 
did the task and it did nothing. someone said to open the access panel 
to the tank in the trunk and the connection was corroded but after 
doing this i see there is hardly anyway for that connection to be 
corroded. it is sealed real good or at least on my car they are.

i have had some problems with that group of wires on the passenger 
side of the engine bay causing the instrument cluster to misbehave and 
the engine to fail to start etc. can this wire set maybe cause the gas 
gage to fluctuate during the use of the fuel?

if not, other than a bad sensor inside the tank what else would cause 
this problem.  my car also has a display on the headliner that is 
affected at the same time. thanks bob.
