The car is out of warranty already? D'oh! Any chance you left your gas cap off or loose accidentally? Do you have an aftermarket locking cap or such? Something so simple like that can cause an evaporative emissions code.
I'm not sure of the '04 models, but typically there's like an extra gas line coming from the tank into the engine compartment and runs to a "charcoal" canister.
