I didn't intend to comment on the message but was just reading the
forum and I guess hit the wrong button. But...my two cents! Rebecca, I am the
proud owner of a
' 03 Intrepid 2.7 as well with 83,000 mi. I do not use synthetic oil but
change the oil every 5,000 miles like clockwork. Usually between 4 and 5 but
never over 5. Currently I've never had a problem, knock on wood. Just be
constant on your maintenance and don't let it lapse. I know the stated change
time is 3,000 miles but I have looked at my oil before changes and it does
remain clean. Congratulations on you "new" car and I'm sure you'll be a
