I understand that when most people post some kind of an issue
they're experiencing with their Intrepid some times it comes across
as complaining. However, such as in Pammie's case, she's financially
strapped and in a pretty rough spot, so I interpret remarks like
her's as those of frustration. Frustration with her car (whether or
not it's an Intrepid), the uncertainty of her finances, and the all
too familiar 'dealership-run-around.'

I, on the other hand, have been more than pleased with both of the
Intrepids that I've owned. I had a '98 base model that I had for
almost seven years with only 46,000 miles on it and really never had
any serious mechanical problems (unfortunately, I totalled her). I
now own an '04 SXT bought new and I've only amassed about 26,000
miles so as they say: so far; so good.

The exterior design of the car (however dated) is distinctively
Intrepid. My AC works almost instantaneously and my fuel economy is
much better than I thought it would be when I bought her. The seats
are comfortable and my stock sound system with the in-dash 6 CD
changer sounds great.

All in all-- a great car.

Would I buy one again?

Well, to coin a slogan/phrase from one of DaimlerChrysler's chief
competitors: in a 'heartbeat!'
