i was readin on the owners group that another intrepid owner had the EXACT
same problem....they changed the crankshaft sensor and problem solved....
so rite now i am assuming that is what i must do....

You need to figure out which of the three you don't have. You probably have
compression.
I would start out by checking for codes using the key switch method. If no
codes were present, I would get a fuel pressure gage for about $30 and be
ready to use it when the car doesn't start.
