Anti-seize is a compound which, when applied to the threads of a
screw, bolt or spark plug, will act to prevent galling and corrosion
while the parts are fastened together, thus making it possible to
loosen them later without extraordinary effort or damage. It is
usually a thick, silver-colored paste sold in a can with a brush
integral to the cap, much like rubber cement. Bostik Never-Seez is
one popular brand:

Your local automotive parts supplier will surely carry an anti-seize
compound. If not, I would consider finding a different parts store.

One should be aware that torque specifications for bolts, spark plugs,
and the like can be altered by the presence of a lubricant like
anti-seize compound. In practical terms, I have not found it to
matter much, but if I was bolting together a critical piece of
machinery and the application of anti-seize seemed prudent, I would be
sure to determine the correct specs. Most bolts on your car, with
some notable exceptions, are not that critical.

Incidentally, there are "thread locking" compounds available that
perform the opposite task. Typically these are used in assemblies
that are not intended to be disassembled for service, or in
applications where it is anticipated that vibration could loosen a
critical fastener. The stuff is usually blue in color. Thread
locking compounds do not make disassembly impossible, they just help
to ensure that "tight stays tight." Loctite's Threadlocker Blue brand
is popular
