It's really hard to say. The two airbags have independent explosive
charges to set them off.  The car might still try to activate them in
an accident.  Then again, it might not.

I wouldn't take the risk myself.

You're lucky to be alive.  A full-on whack from an air bag to the head
will likely kill you.  At the minimum you'd spend the rest of your
life drooling on yourself.

I've made mistakes that have resulted in getting myself injured.  Last
month, seriously: I broke a finger disassembling my engine crane.  It
was a dumb mistake.  We all make them.  Just thank your lucky stars
when you survive them.
