I have a 2000 Intrepid with a 2.7 engine, low mileage (41K). Recently I received some great advice from members of this group.
I need clarification/additional guidance on the following: How often should I add a fuel injector cleaner additive to the gas tank. On average I added a bottle at every other fillup. If this may be too often then should I go by mileage instead and how often? To clean the throttle body what steps should I perform to get the best results and how often should I do this? I understand there is a sensor and possibly a solenoid valve. I would hate to start spraying anything inside the that may be potentially detrimental, abrasive or other. Fortunately I'm not experiencing any engine performance issues. Appreciate any comments and suggestions. Thank you.
