How slower learner can a person be!!. When your trailer lights play up you
check the earth, when 12 months ago PIK20E PIK would not turn the starter
fast enough it was crook earth, when the radio does not transmit properly or
interference check earth or better still run an earth direct from battery to
radio. Also check the aerial is earthing correctly. Andy Jowetts Pitts was
always slow at starting and went in for 100hly and still the same. The next
100hly another LAME realised there was NO EARTH and for years starter was
getting its earth through the throttle outer cable.

Recently Jabiru brought out a Service Bulletin to run the earth direct to
starter. Thought that was a good idea. Our Jabiru falke would never run real
fast at start up and sure enough today I went to add the earth and there it
was earth wire not as tight as it should be. I notice recently in Nigel
Andrews (mr glider radio inventor) RV he had 2 earth wires from frame to
engine.

So if for some reason or other you have similar problems the first "check
the earth"
