The hk36R of sydney gliding club had the winglets added in AUS (Tom Gilbert I think) which I gather was not an issue and do believe there are R models with carbon spar caps although the weight may give it away. May be worth checking sr nos and wing weights of the two 36Rs in AUS Ian M
