I tried also but no luck. Going to check with my friend Harry Mason today
as he seems to deal with them all the time

Hi Ian!

Many thanks for your kind words. They are very much appreciated after
another H36 owner send me an abusing
e-mail earlier today.

For the record, I'm still the agent for new Super Dimona HK 36 motorgliders
but I'm bound by Diamond Aircraft's
decision to leave all after sales and spare part matters in the hands of
Hawker Pacific. Apart from contacting old
friends within D/A there is nothing I can do about the current situation.

Kind regards from Germany

Bernard

Bernard,

It is a sad day to Gliding that you are no longer the agent for Diamond-air
and at least their gliders

When Phil Shanks was Parts Manager in Austria he was excellent and one
night I put my mobile on base of email and within a minute Phil was on the
phone to me sorting things out.

A friend of mine Harry Mason is the diamond service man on the gold coast
and he suggested I contact Marco Nemec and I go no reply in April and again
sent email on May1 and got "out of office" till May 8 but contact Christa
Ebner which I did on May 1 and also got the "Out of office " message.
Naturally all Europe is on holidays on May 1 but *they were getting my
emails*. I now think they were sending to Hawker Pacific but I have never
ever got any response from HP. I have since learnt from Harry Christa
Ebner is all but useless and probably does not know the difference between
a planer and a glider!!

Now for Hawlker Pacific. My friend Brett Iggulden had a Maule with one for
their "Blue Seal" engines and it had metal all over their poor standards.
He spent 2 years grounded while he did battle with Hawker Pacific over
their then dud engine.

Lewis Zuegn raved about the service you gave with GZD but he was
not enthusiastic about Hawker and the new glider. Nigel spoke well of your
service with a new wing for his hk36.

Do you have a real person at Hawker you could recommend and could answer
questions? Personally I have little faith they will return our paperwork
to Austria so as a h36 can go beyond 3000hrs.

I am afraid at this stage I could not recommend a person buy a h36 if they
have to deal with Hawker P. One good thing about German firms is after
sales service - look at Glassflugel - still to this day you could get a
spring trim from Streifly Germany within 6 days or Katja at nu Scheibe -
email out at 4pm and reply back at 8pm EST

Sad times.

Regards

Ian McPhee
