Hi Ian,

Although its hard to see in the pic it appears that the fuse has sheared behind 
the pod.

This is where GIX's fues also sheared clean through in its ground loop accident.

I'd always assumed that this would have been a stronger rather than a weaker 
point and fuse failure would be more likely a lot further down along the boom.

Nice to see the cockpit area stood up reasonably well though.

Hi All,
 
Below is a link to an accident report of a
H36 crash  in Hungary late last year.  There are a couple of pictures
of the wreck which are interesting because while the wings were destroyed
outboard of the center section, there seems no apparent deformation around the
wing attachment points.
 
It doesn’t actually say what the
cause was but I suspect the prop was in coarse pitch.
