John Viney took me out to see his Dimona a few Mths ago …. He does need a new canopy and may be interested. I have almost finished a repair which would interest you … the lower web of the spar box was cracked … the spar stub busted it …. .so we have cut it out completely and replaced it with a pre made glass and carbon web. At the same time getting rid of all the delaminated ply under it. Looks real good. The aileron push rod is just mm from the web so deflections of the web can catch on it. It was good to get rid of the delaminated ply The Dimona has now 25 hrs … all good. Have been doing work to keep the oil and cyl head temps low … may have overdone it a bit as one side gets down to100degrees C when cruising and oil temp (at cruise) around 60 to 70 degrees.
